Problem
There are several part numbers of hydraulic cylinder piston nuts in the parts system that were made to two different thicknesses. See the September 28, 1987 Service Magazine article titled "Thinner Piston Retaining Nuts Are Used In Hydraulic Cylinders". Hydraulic cylinder piston nuts made to the thin design may fail. These thinner nuts of each part number need to be removed from parts stock.
