( 2 ) The secondary tools are used with the Wolff Hydraulic Cylinder Repair Stand. If a hydraulic repair stand is not available to disassemble the cylinder, consult the Caterpillar Service Technology Group.Start By:
Remove the tilt cylinder. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Tilt Cylinder - Remove".Note: Use Tooling (A) for the disassembly of the lift cylinder.

Remove head (14) from the cylinder assembly. Remove the rod assembly and the head as a unit from the cylinder assembly.
Use the universal wrench that is sold with Tooling (A) to remove bolt (3) from the rod assembly. Remove washer (4) and piston (7) .
Remove ring (6) and seal assembly (5) from piston (7) .
Remove head (14) from the rod assembly.
Remove ring (10) and seals (11), (12), and (13) from head (14) .
Remove seal (8) and ring (9) from head (14) .
Use Tooling (B) to remove bearing (2) and retaining rings (1) from the pin bore of the cylinder assembly.
