This Program can be administered either before or after a failure. In either case the decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS8859" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. If administered before failure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "T" as the SIMS Description Code. If administered after failure, use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

Certain 3406C Engines were built with fuel shutoff solenoid assemblies 1255772 and 1255774/">1255774, date codes 38S through 42S, that may fail and shutdown the engine without notice or prevent startup.

Remove all 1255772 and 1255774 Solenoid Assemblies with date codes 38S through 42S from Parts Stock.
Affected Product
Inspect the date code of the fuel shutoff solenoid assembly. If the date code, as stamped or etched on the assembly housing, is 38S through 42S, then the solenoid must be replaced.

Submit one claim for all 1255772 and 1255774 Solenoid Assemblies with date codes 38S through 42S removed from Parts Stock.
