LIFT CYLINDER GROUP 3G8089 - Caterpillar

623B TractorsDescription of Change: A new starter group is used on 621B and 623B Tractors. This new starter group always contains a starter made by the same supplier which will not have interference between the starter shift lever housing and the left rear engine mount. The former 6N1889 Starter Group can be a starter made by any one of three suppliers. The starters furnished by two of these three suppliers caused the interference problem.Adaptable To: The new 9G5584 Motor Group can be used as a direct replacement for any of the three brands of starters available under the 6N1889 Motor Group. The same bolts and gasket are used. The 6N1889 Motor Group is still serviced for other applications, but it can be a starter which will not mount on engines in 621B and 623B Tractors.
