Start By:a. remove torque converter outlet relief valveb. remove main drive shaft 1. Loosen the flange bolts on hose (5), and drain the oil from the torque divider. Disconnect hose (5) from the torque divider when the oil has drained. Remove the O-ring seal from hose (5).2. Disconnect hose (3), and remove the O-ring seal. Disconnect hose (1), and remove the connector and two O-ring seals from the torque divider housing.3. Remove wiring harness clip and bracket (2) from the top of the torque divider. 4. Remove elbow (6) from the bottom of the flywheel housing. Remove the O-ring seal from elbow (6).5. Remove sleeve (7). Remove two O-ring seals from sleeve (7). 6. The weight of the torque divider is 145 kg (320 lb). Install tooling (A) onto the torque divider.7. Put a hoist in position through the door of the cab. Attach the hoist to the rear link bracket [part of tooling (A)]. Attach tooling (B) to the front link bracket [part of tooling (A)].8. Remove the 12 bolts (4) that fasten the torque divider to the flywheel housing. Separate the torque divider from the flywheel housing.9. Slowly release the tension on tooling (B), and allow the torque divider to be supported by the rear link bracket [part of tooling (A)]. Remove tooling (B). Use the hoist, and lower the torque divider to the ground.10. Remove the torque divider from under the machine.11. Remove the large O-ring seal from around the torque divider housing.12. Do Step 1 through Step 11 in reverse order to install the torque divider with the following addition.a. Use two guide bolts [tooling (C)] in the flywheel housing to align the torque divider and its spline.b. Check power train oil level, and add as necessary.
