Drain the coolant. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Coolant - Change" for the proper draining and filling procedures.

Disconnect hose assembly (1). Disconnect hose (2).

Disconnect harness assembly and water temperature sensor (5). Remove bolts (3) and water temperature regulator housing (4).

Remove bolts (6) and remove housing (7).
Remove tube (9) and remove O-ring seals (8).

Remove and discard seal (11). Remove water temperature regulators (10).

Remove lip seals (12). Note the orientation of the lip seals for installation purposes. Installation Procedure
Install water temperature regulators (10) in the reverse order of removal.
Apply Tooling (A) to the seal run surface of lip seals (12). Use Tooling (B) to install lip seals (12).
Apply Tooling (A) to O-ring seals (8).
Tighten water temperature sensor (5) to a torque of 20 3 N m (177 27 lb in).
