Gear pump for the fan drive and brakes
Install a 6V-4143 Coupler to each end of a 6V-3014 Hose Assembly. Install a 6V-3989 Unvalved Nipple to one end of the hose assembly. Install a 8T-0860 Pressure Gauge to the unvalved nipple. Install the other end of the hose assembly to the pressure tap on the gear pump for the fan drive and brakes.
Position the pressure gauge in order for the operator to view the gauge while the machine is operated. Start the engine and run the engine at high idle.
Record the pressure on the pressure gauge. The gauge should read 14480 345 kPa (2100 50 psi).
If the pressure at the pump is not to the specification, check the engine speed setting.
If the engine speed is incorrect, then set the engine speed to the specification. Recheck the pump pressure.
If the engine speed is correct, replace the pump.
Turn off the machine. Remove the test equipment.
