Remove existing DEF manifold header per the Manifold (DEF Heater) - Remove and Install procedure in SIS. Remove the existing sock and the 452-6055 Filter Base As. Replace the bottom 425-0385 Filter As on the header. Rinse the header and the filter base with deionized water until there are no visible debris on the coils. Install the 452-6055 Sock Filter Base As. Tighten the base screws to 1.5 0.1 N m (13 0.8 lb in).

Insert the extended sock all the way up to the top of the DEF manifold header.

Install the 391-5262 Gasket.

Gently pull on each "ear" so the gasket goes past the folded sock area and the gasket is able to sit flush with the DEF manifold header. Repeat the process for all the ears. The gasket ears will push into the sock material and this is normal.

Insert the assembled DEF manifold header with new sock and gasket into the tank. Use the Manifold (DEF Heater) - Remove and Install instructions for installing the DEF header. The torque procedure is required on the mounting bolts.
