start by: a) remove pistons1. Check to make sure all coolant has been removed from the cylinder block.2. Put some protection over the bearing journals of the crankshaft before removing cylinder liners. 3. Use puller group (A) to remove the cylinder liners.Install Cylinder Liners
1. Clean the liners and liner bores in block. Install new O-ring seals on liners. Put liquid soap on seals and in bores in block.
TYPICAL EXAMPLE2. Use tool (A) to put the liners into place.3. Check cylinder liner projection as follows: a) Make sure top of block and flange of liner are clean and free of burrs. b) Install tool setup (B). Make sure the bar is in center position on liner.c) Install two 5/8"-11 NC X 4 1/2 inch long bolts. Tighten both bolts the same amount gradually until they have a torque of 50 lb.ft. (6,9 mkg).d) Check to be sure distance from bottom edge of bar to top of block is the same on both sides of the liner.e) Use tool group (C) to check cylinder liner projection at four locations around liner.f) Projection must be .0020 to .0056 in. (0,051 to 0,142 mm). Measurements on same liner must not be different by more than .001 in. (0,03 mm). Average measurements between liners next to each other must not be different by more than .001 in. (0,03 mm).end by: a) install pistons
