Remove step assembly (1) in order to allow access to the pressure tap on the hydraulic pump.

Attach an 198-4240 Digital Pressure Indicator to pressure tap (2) .
Start the engine and run the engine at high idle. Bring the oil to normal operating temperature.
Leave all control levers in the HOLD position. Do not move the steering control.
Run the engine at low idle.
The pressure reading should be 2000 100 kPa (290 15 psi). Low pressure standby pressure is equal to margin pressure and the pressure needed to maintain leakage flow. Margin pressure is 2000 100 kPa (290 15 psi). Leakage flow occurs when the pump swashplate is kept at an angle in order to drain off excess oil pressure. The pressure for leakage flow is 138 kPa (20 psi).
If the pressure reading is correct, proceed to Step 12.
If the pressure reading is not correct, stop the engine and release the hydraulic system pressure.Reference: Refer to the Service Manual module for Testing and Adjusting, "System Pressure - Release" for the machine that is being service.
Adjustments to the pump output should not be made based on the results of this test. If the results are not acceptable, run the Margin Pressure Test.
Stop the engine and remove the test equipment from pressure tap (2) .High Pressure Stall Test

Lower all the attachments to the ground. Stop the engine.
Release the pressure from the hydraulic system.Reference: Refer to the Service Manual module for Testing and Adjusting, "System Pressure - Release" for the machine that is being serviced.

Start the engine and run the engine at high idle. Bring the oil to normal operating temperature.
Run the engine at high idle.
Move the decking blade and the grapple controls in both directions in order to initiate a stall condition. The pressure reading should be 21000 345 kPa (3050 50 psi).
If the pressure reading is correct, proceed to Step 11.
If the pressure reading is not correct, the pressure spool in the compensator valve needs to be adjusted.Reference: Refer to the Service Manual module for Testing and Adjusting, "Pressure and Flow Compensator Valve - Adjust" for the machine that is being serviced.
Repeat Steps 5 through 9.
Remove the test equipment from pressure tap (2) .Margin Pressure Test
