Ensure that the unit is stopped before servicing the gearbox filter.
Remove the oil filter drain plug (1). Allow the oil to drain into a suitable container.
Using a square or hexagonal wrench, rotate the lower filter casing (2) to loosen. Remove the filter casing slowly by hand.
Remove spring.
Pull the filter element down to remove.
Remove the o-ring from inside the base.
Lightly lubricate the o-ring seal with oil and install in the housing.
Install a new oil filter element. Ensure that the element is seated in the housing.
Install the spring.
Thread the lower filter casing (2) into the housing. Tighten to 20 N m (14.7 lb ft).
Install the drain plug and tighten securely. Do not overtighten.
After installation, residual oil may be visible on the filter casing. Wipe the area until clean and observe following the initial restart of the unit.
