LINE AS-FUEL INJECTION 7C4306 - Caterpillar

1. Remove four bolts (1) and bracket (2). Remove hose (3) from the aftercooler housing. 2. Remove bolts (6) and loosen clamp (4). Remove pipe (5). Disconnect wiring harness (7).3. Remove the nut, and remove ether line (8) from the aftercooler housing. Remove the bolts that hold pipe (10) to the aftercooler housing. Loosen clamp (9), and remove pipe (10). 4. As pipe (10) and pipe (5) are removed, be sure to remove O-ring seal (12) from the end. Then, remove adapter (11) and the gasket on each end of the aftercooler housing. 5. Remove line (13) from the aftercooler housing. Remove two brackets (14).6. Remove bolts (15). Remove plate (16) on each side of the aftercooler housing. Remove cover assembly (17) from the aftercooler housing. 7. Remove O-ring seal (18) to prevent damage to it. Remove aftercooler core (19), and remove the O-ring seal from the bottom of the aftercooler core. 8. Remove bolts (20). Remove two bolts (21), and remove the housing (22) from the intake manifold. The following steps are for the installation of the aftercooler core and housing.9. Position housing (22) and install bolts (21). Install bolts (20). Install the O-ring seal on both sides of the aftercooler core. Install aftercooler core (19).
Be sure the mating surfaces of the housing, aftercooler core, cover assembly, and plates are free of paint and dirt.
10. Install cover assembly (17) on the aftercooler housing. Position a plate (16) on each side of the aftercooler housing and install bolts (15). Install brackets (14) and line (13) on the aftercooler housing.11. Install adapter (11) and the gasket on each end of the aftercooler housing. Install the O-ring seal on pipe (5) and pipe (10) and install the pipes. Tighten the clamp on the hose connected to each pipe.12. Install ether line (8). Install hose (3).
