Attach Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device to gear assembly (7). Use Tooling (B) and the suitable lifting device in order to remove gear assembly (7) from the input transfer gear housing. The weight of gear assembly (7) is approximately 27 kg (60 lb).

Remove bearing cones (8) from gear assembly (7).

Remove bearing cup (9) from the input transfer gear housing.

Remove tube assemblies (10) and (11).

Remove bolts (12) from manifold assembly (13). Install Tooling (A) to manifold assembly (13). Use Tooling (A) in order to help in the removal of manifold assembly (13) from the input transfer gear housing.

Remove O-ring seal (14) from manifold assembly (13).

Attach Tooling (C) and a suitable lifting device to input transfer gear housing (15). The weight of input transfer gear housing (15) is approximately 141 kg (310 lb). Use Tooling (C) and the suitable lifting device in order to reposition input transfer gear housing (15) on the opposite side.

Remove bolts (17) from cage assembly (16). Install Tooling (A) to cage assembly (16) in order to help in the removal of cage assembly (16) from the input transfer gear housing.

Remove shims (18) from cage assembly (16).

Use a suitable lifting device in order to remove gear assembly (20) from the input transfer gear housing. The weight of gear assembly (20) is approximately 25 kg (55 lb).
