(1) Remove cover (1) and filler (2). Disconnect black wire (3), orange and white wire (4), brown and light blue wire (5); these wires are part of harness assembly (6). (2) Pull harness assembly (6) from tubes (7) and (8) and through plate (9); disconnect the connector from the machine harness assembly. Remove grommets (10) and (11); grommet (11) will be used with the new harness assembly. Remove washer (12) from tube (7). (3) Remove tube (8), the clips, bolts, plate (13) and angle (14); they will not be used again. (4) Remove block (15) from plate (9) with an Arcair torch. It will not be used again. (5) Drill hole (A) in plate (9) to the dimensions shown. Install 2B9828 Block (16) to plate (9) with .09" (2.3) fillet welds, at the dimensions shown. (6) Fasten 3V3179 Harness Assembly (17) to a wire or cable and pull the harness through 4V2178 Tube (18) as shown. (7) Put harness (17) through tube (7) and install tube (18) into tube (7) as shown. (8) Fasten tube (18) to tube (19) with two 9D6196 Clips (20), two 9D6197 Clips (21) and two 2B3243 Clips (22) with two 5P1076 Washers S1595 Bolts and 1D4719 Nuts. (9) Put harness (17) through the hole and connect it to the existing harness. Install grommet (11) and fasten harness (17) to block (15) with 4D8123 Clip (23), S1594 Bolt and 5P1075 Washer. (10) Remove three bolts (23) [or two bolts (23)] and install 5V3180 Bracket (24). Fasten bracket (24) with three bolts or two bolts (23). Fasten bracket (24) with 8F8513 Clip (25), S1594 Bolt, 5P1075 Washer and 1D4717 Nut to tube (18). (11) Connect black wire (26) to the black wire, orange and white wire (27) to the orange and white wire, and brown and light blue wire (28) to the brown and light blue wire. These wires are part of 5V3179 Harness Assembly (17).Bucket Positioner Adjustment
To adjust the bucket positioner, put the machine on level ground and lower the bucket to the ground. Loosen two clamp bolts (1) and tighten spreader screw (2), if so equipped, or loosen three clamp bolts and open the clamp with a screw driver, so switch holder (3) can be adjusted back or forward. Switch holder (3) must be in position so front switch (4) is in alignment with magnet (5). Loosen spreader screw (2) or remove the screw driver and tighten clamp bolts (1). Tighten screw (2) to a torque of 10 lb.ft. (13.6 N m). To put switch assembly (4) into vertical alignment with magnet (5), loosen the switches from bar (6) and move the switches over the center of magnet (5). Tighten the switches to a torque of 25 lb.ft. (34.0 N m). Loosen two bolts (7) and adjust the distance between the face of switch holder (3) and magnet (5) to .31" (7.9). Tighten bolts (7). Install the filler and cover.
