Remove the final drive. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Final Drive - Remove".Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

Use Tooling (A) in order to remove retaining rings (1). Remove retaining rings (1).

Attach Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device onto carrier (2). The weight of carrier (2) is approximately 422 kg (930 lb).
Place carrier (2) into a suitable press.
Press planetary shaft (3) from the carrier.
Slide planetary gear (4) out of carrier (2) onto a suitable support. The weight of planetary gear (4) is approximately 75 kg (165 lb).

Remove spacers (5). Remove bearing assemblies (6) from planetary gear (4).
Repeat Steps 4 through 6 for the remaining planetary gears.
