Track Roller
The track rollers are fastened to the roller frames. The track rollers are in contact with the inside surfaces of the track links. Flanges on the track rollers prevent movement of the track from side to side. The inside surfaces of the track links equally distribute the weight of the machine over the track.Machines with the XL undercarriage have seven rollers. Four of the rollers are single flange track rollers and three are double flange rollers. Machines with the LGP undercarriage have eight rollers, four single flange track rollers and four double flange rollers. Rollers are installed in the following sequence. A double flange track roller is shown. (14) Shaft (15) Duo-Cone seals (16) WasherWashers (16) get the side load on the roller. The amount of side movement or the end clearance of shaft (14) cannot be adjusted.The track rollers have Duo-Cone seals at both ends of shaft (14) .The center of shaft (14) is an oil reservoir. The components of the track idlers are similar to the components of the track rollers.Washers (18) get the side load on the idler. Each track assembly has track links, pins, bushings, thrust rings, polyurethane seal assemblies, rubber stoppers, and polyurethane plugs.Track links (20) and (24) fit over the preceding track links. The connection of the track links make up the track assembly.Each track link has a counterbore in the end which gives a fit with the preceding track link. Seal assemblies (31) are installed in the counterbores of each track link. Each seal assembly has a load ring and a seal ring.
