A     138-7573     Link Bracket     1    Note: The procedure to install the right hand counterbalance valve and the procedure to install the left hand counterbalance valve is identical. The procedure that follows is for one of the counterbalance valves.

Install new O-ring seals to counterbalance valve (5) .
Use two people in order to install the counterbalance valve (5) to the travel motor. The weight of the counterbalance valve (5) is 25 kg (55 lb). Install bolts (6) that secure the counterbalance valve (5) to travel motor (5). Tighten bolts (6) to a torque of 235 9 N m (173 7 lb ft).
Install bolts (3) in order to connect hose assemblies (4) .
Fill the hydraulic oil tank. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Oil Level - Change".
Start the engine and check counterbalance valve (5) for leaks. Also, check the operation of the travel motor. Stop the engine.

Install Tooling (A) to cover (2). Use a suitable lifting device in order to install cover (2). The weight of cover assembly (2) is 41 kg (90 lb). Install washers and bolts (1) .
