Identification of the differences between the compontents of the new 159-3574 Mounting And Electrical Sensor Group (Combustion Buffer) and the components of the former 117-1567 Mounting And Electrical Sensor Group. 1/2 10.5:1, 11:1 Compression Ratio ( TA Luft Emission Levels)
The only difference between the new 162-7513 Mounting And Electrical Sensor Group and the new 159-3574 Mounting And Electrical Sensor Group is the new 162-7512 Sensor. This is a new short burn time combustion sensor for high compression ratio applications. It is for use with G3600 High Efficiency Engines operation at 1/2 TA Luft Emissions Levels.
The same 125-5356 Disc is in both new and former Mounting And Electrical Sensor Group (Combustion Buffer), however the new group requires 2 of these discs while the former group required only 1 disc. When installing the new Mounting And Electrical Sensor Group, one of the 125-5356 Disc must be placed at the bottom of the extension (see Detail B in the Illustration). The upper disc must be positioned so that the extension pin is held in place for installation of the connector (see Detail A in the Illustration). Having 2 disc in place will NOT guarantee proper alignment. Extreme care must be taken when attaching the connector to the extension assembly. Operational problems can result from an incorrect connection between the extension and the connector.
The engine can be operated with a mixture of the former and new Mounting Electrical Sensor Groups.
