Open the access door on the right side of the machine.

Clean the area in order to keep dirt out of the filter base.
Remove the used pilot filter element from the filter base.Note: This element is a cartridge type filter. The element cannot be reused.Note: Dispose of used filters according to local regulations.
Clean the filter base.

Coat the seal of a new pilot filter with clean hydraulic oil. Install the new pilot filter in the filter base. Tighten the pilot filter hand tight.
Close the access door.Case Drain Filters

The case drain filters are on the side of the hydraulic tank.

Clean the area in order to keep dirt out of the filter base.

Slowly loosen the vent plugs that are on top of the filters in order to release the pressure from the filters. Tighten the vent plugs.
Remove the used case drain filter from the filter base.Note: This element is a cartridge type filter. The element cannot be reused.Note: Dispose of used filters according to local regulations.
Clean the filter base.

Coat the seal of a new case drain filter with clean hydraulic oil. Install the new case drain filter in the filter base. Tighten the case drain filter hand tight.
After replacing any hydraulic filter, the air must be purged from each filter. Perform Step 6.a through Step 6.c in order to purge the air from the hydraulic system.
Start the engine.
Slowly loosen the vent plugs on top of each filter until oil flows out of the vent plugs.
Tighten the vent plugs.
Drive the machine slowly for 10 to 15 minutes. Move each cylinder evenly through several cycles.

Return the machine to the servicing position. Check the machine for oil leaks.
Stop the engine.

(A) High temperature range (B) Low temperature range
Maintain the oil level in the low temperature range for a cold machine. Maintain the oil level in the high temperature range for a machine that is at a normal operating temperature.

Slowly loosen the fill/vent plug in order to relieve any pressure. Remove the fill/vent plug in order to add oil, if necessary.
Clean the fill/vent plug. Install the fill/vent plug.
