START BY:a. connection of steering frame lock link
To prevent personal injury, release the pressure from the hydraulic system before any lines are removed or disconnected.
1. Use the machine hydraulics to put the lift arms in position on tooling (A) as shown. 2. Remove bolt (2), and disconnect clip (3) from elbow (1) on each side of the machine.3. Remove the four bolts, and disconnect elbow (1) from the lift cylinder on each side of the machine. 4. Disconnect tube assembly (4) from each lift cylinder. 5. Fasten a nylon strap and a hoist to lift cylinder (6) as shown.6. Remove grease fitting (5) from pin (7).7. Remove bolt (8), washer and spacer from pin (7). 8. Install tooling (B) on pins (7). Fasten a nylon strap and a hoist to tooling (B) so it cannot fall when the pin is removed.9. Use tooling (B), and remove pins (7) that connect the lift cylinders to the lift arms. 10. Remove grease fitting (10) from pin (11).11. Remove bolt (9), washer and spacer from pin (11). 12. Fasten two nylon straps, one on each end, and a hoist to the lift cylinders.13. Use tooling (C), and remove pins (11) that connect the lift cylinders to the loader frame.14. Remove the lift cylinders from the machine. The weight of the lift cylinder is 84 kg (185 lb.). 15. Remove lip-type seals (12) from the bores in the lift arms. 16. Use tooling (D), and remove the bearings from the lift cylinder pin bores of the lift arms.Install Lift Cylinders
1. Lower the temperature of the bearings before they are installed in the bores of the lift arms. 2. Use tooling (A) to install the bearing in the lift cylinder pin bores of the lift arms. The bearings must be installed in the center of the bores. 3. Use tool (B) to install lip-type seals (1) in the bores of the lift arms. The seals must be installed with the lip of the seals toward the outside of the bores. 4. Fasten two nylon straps, one on each end, and a hoist to the lift cylinders (2), and put them in position on the machine. Put 5P960 Multipurpose Type Grease in the bores of the cylinders and on the pins.5. Install pins (3) in the loader frame and lift cylinders as shown. 6. Install spacers, washers and bolts (5) that hold the pins in place.7. Install grease fittings (6) in pins (4). 8. Install pins (7) that hold the rod end of the lift cylinders to the lift arms. 9. Install spacers, washers and bolts (9) that hold pins (8).10. Install grease fittings (10) in pins (8). 11. Connect tube assembly (11) to each lift cylinder. 12. Put elbows (12) in position on the lift cylinders, and install the four bolts that hold them in place.13. Install bolts (13) that connect clips (14) to elbows (12).14. Fill the lift cylinder rod ends and frame end pin bores with 5P960 Multipurpose Type Grease. 15.
