Remove the radiator and fan group. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Radiator and Fan Group (Includes Coolers) - Remove". Note: SERVICE DATA: TOOLING (ZZ) WILL NOT BE IDENTIFIED IN PHOTOGRAPHS IN THE REMOVAL OR THE INSTALLATION. THIS TOOLING IS SHOWN IN ORDER TO ASSIST THE EXPERIENCED SERVICEMAN.

Disconnect hose assembly (1). Remove bolt (3) and clip (2).

Remove bolts (5). Place makeup valve assembly (4) out of the way.

Disconnect hose (6) from expansion tank (7). Remove bolts (8).

Loosen clamp (10) and disconnect hose (9) from expansion tank (7). Remove bolts (11) and remove expansion tank (7).

Remove grommet (12) from aftercooler (13).

Attach a suitable lifting device to the fan and piston motor (14), as shown. The weight of the fan and the piston motor is approximately 102 kg (225 lb). Remove bolts (15) from each side. Remove the fan and the piston motor.

Remove bolts (16) and fan (17).

Remove bolts (18) and remove fan shroud (19). Remove center bolt (20).

The forcing screws are used in the illustration above.

Use Tooling (A) in order to remove pulley (21).

Reposition the fan guard (24), as shown. Disconnect hose assembly (22). Remove bolts (25) and piston motor (23) from fan guard (24).
