THE AUGERS AND THE CONVEYORS WILL OPERATE DURING THESE CALIBRATION PROCEDURES.
The following machine conditions must be meant before this procedure is performed:
Start the engine. Run the engine at high idle.
Turn the parking brake ON.
Move the propel switch to the PAVE position (LOW position for the AP1000B and the BG260C).
Move the propel lever to the FORWARD position.
Move the conveyor, auger and feeder mode switches to AUTO mode.
Enter calibration mode 2 on the ECM display. To do so, press and hold the ECM mode switch until "- 2 -" is showing in the display area. Submode c01 should be displayed which will confirm that the calibration mode has been entered.
Enter submode c15 for the left conveyor bypass solenoid initial current. Submode c15 is displayed on the ECM display. If submode c15 is not displayed, press and hold the display mode switch in the INCREMENT position until "c15" is showing.
Begin with the left conveyor ratio dial in the full CCW position. Slowly turn the left conveyor ratio dial in the CW direction until the left conveyor just starts to rotate.
Store the value of the present signal that the ECM is sending to the left conveyor bypass solenoid. In order to store the value, press and hold the display mode switch in the CLEAR/STORE position. While the switch is pressed, the red indicator (not accepted) or the amber indicator (accepted) will briefly flash. Observe the status of these indicators while the switch is in the CLEAR/STORE position, then release the display mode switch.Result:Accepted - The amber indicator flashed.
