Information:
Reassembly, as a rule, is made in reverse of disassembly.5-1 Preparation
Prepare a workbench, tools and supplies in the same way as for servicing and disassembly in 2 and 3.5-2 General Precautions
(1) Pay the same attention to the general disassembly precautions in 3.(2) Check prior to reassembly to ensure that all parts are free from metal particles or foreign matter, and that parts are free from burs or scratches. Remove any burs or scratches with an oilstone.(3) As a rule, renew O-rings.(4) Use care when fitting O-rings to prevent damage. (Apply a small amount of grease to make them smooth.)5-3 Reassembly Procedure
(1) Press fit bushing (5) into wheel (6) using press-fitter I and a press. * For press fitting, align the axial cores of bushing (5) and whell (6) to prevent damage. Applying a thin coat of grease containing disulfide molybdenum on the outer circumgerence of bushing is effective for prevention of twist on the bushing outer circumference.* Do not press bushing in all the way in 1 step but stop once when it goes in about 3 to 4mm (0.11811 to 0.15748"), then realign the cores. (2) Apply a coat of engine oil to O-ring for floating seal (4). * Use care and do not apply excessive engine oil which may be mistaken as oil leakage.(3) Clean bearing (3) housing with solvent. (4) Fit floating seal (4) in bearing (3) using seal inserter. * After fitting, ensure that seal is evenly inserted. (5) Apply a coat of engine oil to O-ring (7), then fit O-ring (7) on shaft (8). (6) Insert shaft (8) into bearing (3). * For shaft (8) insertion, align the axial cores of shaft (8) and bearing (3) to prevent damage or scratch to O-ring (7) due to misalignment of the shaft (8). (7) Drive spring pin (2) into bearing (3) and shaft (8) temporarily with a hammer. * The slit of spring pin (2) must be positioned outside and be at right angles to the center of the idle wheel. (8) Press fit spring pin (2) into bearing (3) and shaft (8) using a press. 1. Remove grease from floating seal (4) sliding surfaces with solvent.2. Wipe the floating seal (4) sliding surfaces with waste cloth.3. Apply a coat of engine oil to floating seal (4) sliding surface. * Do not apply engine oil excessively whch may be mistaken as oil leakage. (9) Fit bearing lifter to bearing (3), then insert shaft (8) into wheel (6) with a crane. (10) Clean wheel (6) housing with solvent.(11) Apply a coat of engine oil to floating seal (4), then install floating seal to wheel (6). * After installation, ensure that seal is evenly installed. (12) Install floating seal (4) into wheel (6) with seal inserter. * After installation, ensure that seal is evenly installed. (13) Install bearing (3) on shaft (8). * Align the axial cores of bearing (3) and shaft (8) to prevent damage or scratch to O-ring (7) due to tilting of the bearing
