EXCAVATOR,
Information:
Procedure
Sudden movement or accidental starting of the machine can cause personal injury or death to persons on or near the machine. To prevent personal injury or death, perform the following:Park the machine on a smooth, level surface.Lower the work tool to the ground and engage the parking brake.Stop the engine and remove the key.Block the wheels and install the steering frame lock.
The implement cycle time can be checked in order to verify a complaint about slow implement speed. This test will also help to determine whether all functions are slow or only one function is slow.Note: For all cycle time tests, the work tool must be empty.Note: Ensure that load sense pressure and pump displacement are within specification 28900 350 kPa (4192 51 psi) and 22.5 +/- 7.5 cc/rev (available through display).
Disable lift snubbing.

Place the transmission in the NEUTRAL position. Engage the parking brake. Connect Caterpillar Electronic Technician (ET) to diagnostic connector (1) which is to the right and behind the seat.
When ET begins, select "Implement". Click the "OK" button.
Select "Diagnostics". From the "Diagnositic Tests" list, select "Implement Cycle Time Checks".
Follow the instructions in the dialog box before you click the "OK" button.
Park in an open area on level ground.
Clear all personnel from the machine and the area.
Provide adequate clearance for full implement motion.
Lower all attachments.
Ensure that the linkage position sensors are properly calibrated.
Ensure that the implement valve solenoids are properly calibrated.
Select the cycle time checks that you wish to run. Click the "Begin" button.
Begin the RAISE cycle time check. Follow the instructions on the screen.
Set the parking brake.
Disengage the implement lockout switch.
Position the machine so that the linkage can be safely moved through the full range of motion.
Ensure that the work tool is empty.
Warm the hydraulic oil until the temperature of the oil is between 50 - 80° C (122 - 176° F). Move the implement through the full range of travel while warming the hydraulic oil. Click the "Next" button.
Place the implement in the full TILT BACK position. Click the "Next" button.
Lower the linkage to the minimum position. Click the "Next" button.
Run the engine at high idle.
Release the implement control
