Rolling Radius
The rolling radius parameter is used to determine speed displayed on the speedometer. Rolling radius varies depending on the tire installed on the machine. Use Table 2 to determine rolling radius for your machine.
Table 2

2592932     375/75R20 XZSL MICHELIN     519     If you are not using one of the tire sizes detailed in Table 2, then calculation will be necessary to attain the correct rolling radius. The following steps detail the procedure for measurement of "Rolling Radius":
Ensure that tire pressures are correct for the particular type of tire installed on the machine.
Park the machine in the straight ahead position (use Articulation Lock if necessary to ensure that machine is Straight).
Mark the Front tire in the center of the contact patch.
Mark the Ground in line with the mark in the center of the contact patch on the Front tire.
Mark the Rear tire in the center of the contact patch.
Mark the Ground in line with the mark in the center of the contact patch of the Rear tire.
Drive forward slowly (1 - 2 kph).
Once the marks on tire have made three or four revolutions (can be more, for a more accurate value), stop the vehicle when the first mark (whether that is the front or rear tire) is again in the center of the contact patch.
Mark the Ground in line with the mark in the center line of the contact patch.
Continue to drive the machine slowly forward until the second mark is in the center of the contact patch.
Once the second mark is in the center of the contact patch, stop the vehicle and mark the ground.
Note down the number of full revolutions that the tires completed.
Measure and note down the distance between the starting point for the Front tire and the finishing point after three or four revolutions.
Measure and note down the distance between the starting point for the Rear tire and the finishing point after three or four revolutions.
To determine the Rolling Radius of each tire, use the following formula:Rolling Radius (mm) = (Distance Travelled (mm) / Number of Revolutions) / (2*pi)Where pi = 3.14
The rolling radius parameter is used to determine speed displayed on the speedometer. Rolling radius varies depending on the tire installed on the machine. Use Table 2 to determine rolling radius for your machine.
