INTEGRATED TOOLCARRIER, WHEEL LOADER,
Information:
Tests should be performed on tires or loose dirt. Tires are recommended. Never operate the vibratory system when the machine is on concrete.1. Make sure the parking brake is applied and the propel control lever is in the STOP position. Make sure the vibratory control switch on the propel control lever is in the OFF position.
Vibratory Motor
(1) Hose (case drain to hydraulic tank). (2) Vibratory motor.2. Disconnect hose (1) from vibratory motor (2) and cap end of hose.3. Connect a short length of hose to the fitting that oil case drain line (2) was connected to. At this point use one of the following methods for measuring the motor case leakage:Method 1. a. Put the other end of the hose in a 19 liter (5 gal) container.b. Start and run the machine at low idle for several minutes then run at high idle. Run the engine at high idle until the hydraulic oil temperature reaches 38°C (100°F). Engine rpm should be 2350 50 rpm.c. Depress the vibratory control switch to the ON position to start the vibratory system. At the same time the vibratory control switch is moved, switch the hose to a second 19 liter (5 gal) container. At the end of one minute, move the hose back to the first container. Note the amount of oil in second container.d. If there is more than 6 Ipm (1.5 gpm) of leakage, the motor has too much internal leakage and must be repaired or replaced.Method 2. a. Connect the other end of the hose to the inlet of flow meter and fitting group) and connect the drain line to the outlet end of flow meter.b. Start and run the machine at high idle until the hydraulic oil temperature reaches 38°C (100°F). Engine rpm should be 2350 50 rpm.c. Depress the vibratory control switch to the ON position to start the vibratory system. Note the amount of oil flow thru the flow meter.d. If there is more than 6 Ipm (1.5 gpm) of leakage, the motor has too much internal leakage and must be repaired or replaced.4. Depress the vibratory control switch to the OFF position to stop the vibratory system. Stop the engine.5. Remove all test tooling and connect hose (1) to vibratory motor (2).Main Relief Valve Pressure Test
Make reference to on first page of Troubleshooting.
This main relief pressure should be checked while running the vibratory system. For this reason, it is recommended that the drum be placed on tires to simulate an uncompacted soil condition. The hydraulic oil temperature should be 38°C (100°F).1. Make sure the parking brake is applied, and the propel control lever is in the STOP position.
Under Operators Platform (Vibratory Valve)
(1) Test port.2. Connect a 60 000 kPa (8700 psi) pressure gauge to test port (1).3. Start and run the engine at high idle. Engine rpm should be 2350 50 rpm.
Control Console
(2) Vibratory control switch. (3) Vibratory on/off switch.4. Move vibratory on/off switch (3) to the ON position. Look at
