Place the governor and the decelerator on the cab. Install bolts (9) .

Align the center of the slot in pedal (2) with timing mark (14) .
Remove rod end (9) that bolts to the linkage on the governor.
Move governor lever (4) to the vertical position. Adjust setscrew (5) inward until the setscrew contacts the governor lever inside the components of the brake pedal. Loosen setscrew (5) by one full turn outward. Tighten the locknut in order to keep the setscrew in place.
Position lever (11) on the splined governor shaft in shut off position C (32 degrees 5 degrees forward from vertical position B). Position A is 35 degrees from vertical position B.
Adjust studs (8) in rod ends (9) in order to attain a free fit of the spherical rod ends. Install spring pin (10). Torque the locknuts on rod ends (9) to 12 4 N m (105 35 lb in).
Move governor lever (4) to HIGH IDLE while the engine is operating. Adjust setscrew (6) inward until the setscrew contacts the governor lever inside the components of the brake pedal. Loosen setscrew (6) by one full turn outward. Tighten the locknut in order to lock the setscrew in place.
Unhook the spring from the governor lever inside the components of the brake pedal.
Install four bolts (3). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 12 3 N m (9 2 lb ft).
Tighten housing (13) to a torque of 54 N m (40 lb ft). Then, loosen the housing by 1/2 turn.
Install the spring on the governor lever inside the components of the brake pedal. Loosen four bolts (3). Then, tighten the bolts to a torque of 12 3 N m (9 2 lb ft).
Adjust housing (13) in order to set the torque for rotation of shaft (14). The correct torque is 22.7 2.3 N m (201 20 lb in).Procedure for Adjustment of the Decelerator Linkage
Start the engine. Operate the engine at HIGH IDLE. Depress decelerator pedal (1) until the engine speed is 1000 50 RPM. Adjust setscrew (7) inward until the setscrew contacts the decelerator pedal inside the components of the brake pedal. Tighten the locknut in order to lock the setscrew in place.
Return the engine to LOW IDLE with governor lever (4). Then move governor lever (4) to HIGH IDLE position.
Depress decelerator pedal (1) in order to measure RPM. Repeat decelerator adjustment Step 1 until the correct LOW IDLE and HIGH IDLE engine speeds are obtained. Repeat until engine idle is consistent.Procedure for Adjustment of the Secondary Brake Switch
Attach the pink wire to the COM post of the switch. Attach the green wire to the NO post of the
