When the earlier 6U-3996 Electronic Height Sensor (1) is replaced with the 209-7635 Electronic Height Sensor, it is necessary to replace the previous Optical Rotor (2) with the newer 7U-4923 Optical Rotor and a 7U-1888 Cable Assembly .The output connector on the earlier 6U-3996 Electronic Height Sensor has four pins while the output connector on the new 209-7635 Electronic Height Sensor has five pins. The cable assembly from the electronic height sensor to the suspension control valve must be replaced with a 7U-1888 Cable Assembly. The plug for the electronic height sensor on the 7U-1888 Cable Assembly has five pins. The former cable had only four pins.Note: The new connectors were introduced in order to prevent incorrect assembly. The socket for the fifth pin is blocked. Only four wires are used.

When you install a 209-7635 Electronic Height Sensor, ensure that clearance (A) is 0.75 0.05 mm (0.029 0.002 inch) before tightening nuts (3) that secure the electronic height sensor.
