(3) S O S tapCharge filter (1) is on the left side of the engine compartment. The engine compartment cover provides access to the filter.As charge oil exits the steering circuit, the charge oil is directed through charge filter (1). The base of the charge filter contains pressure tap (2). Charge pressure can be measured at this tap. The base of the filter also contains a bypass valve. If the pressure differential across the charge filter reaches 170 kPa (25 psi), the bypass valve opens. When the bypass valve is open, unfiltered oil flows around the charge filter and is available to the propel pump.S O S tap (3) is on the inlet side of charge filter (1). Oil samples can be obtained through the S O S tap.
