Installing the Backhoe
1. Position the vehicle near the backhoe. Leave clearance to allow installation of hoses between the vehicle and the backhoe.2. Apply parking brake and stop engine. Engage hydraulic controls to relieve pressure.
Do not stand between vehicle and the backhoe when attaching the backhoe.
3. Remove hose from coupling on the vehicle. 4. Remove hose from coupling on the backhoe. 5. Install hose removed from coupling on vehicle to coupling on backhoe. 6. Install hose removed from coupling on backhoe to coupling on vehicle. 7. Start engine and move vehicle nearer to backhoe to align lower mounting pins with lower hooks of mounting brackets. 8. Engage stabilizer controls to raise backhoe (apply down pressure). Lower backhoe into hooks on mounting brackets. 9. Engage boom control to align upper mounting pin holes. 10. Install mounting pins, one one each side. 11. Install lock pins, one on each side.Removing the Backhoe
1. Lower bucket and stabilizers to ground. Stop engine and apply parking brake. 2. Remove lock pins and mounting pins. (It may be necessary to engage boom control to free mounting pins.) 3. Start engine, engage stabilizer controls (apply down pressure) to raise backhoe out of hooks in mounting bracket. 4. Release parking brake and slowly move the vehicle away from backhoe to provide necessary clearance to remove hydraulic hoses. Stop engine and apply parking brake.
Do not stand between the vehicle and the backhoe when removing backhoe.
5. Engage hydraulic controls to relieve pressure. 6. Remove hose from coupling on vehicle. 7. Remove hose from coupling on backhoe. 8. Install hose removed from the coupling on the vehicle to the coupling on the backhoe. 9. Install hose removed from coupling on backhoe to coupling on vehicle.
This hose must be installed or the hydraulic pump will be damaged.
Installing the Bucket
1. Engage boom and stick controls to align bucket linkage holes with bucket mounting holes. 2. Install bucket mounting pins. 3. Install spacers and cotter pins.Removing the Bucket
1. Lower bucket to ground. Block bucket to prevent bucket movement. 2. Remove cotter pins and spacers. 3. Remove bucket mounting pins. Engage boom control to raise bucket linkage from bucket.Installing the Frost Ripper Tooth
1. Raise boom to allow clearance to install ripper tooth.2. Attach chain and hoist to ripper tooth plate assembly. 3. Position ripper tooth so the mounting holes in plate assembly are aligned with the holes in the stick and linkage. Install mounting pins. 4. Install spacers and cotter pins.5. 1. Attach a chain and hoist to ripper tooth plate assembly.2. Remove cotter pins and spacers. 3. Remove mounting pins. 4. Lower ripper to ground. Remove chain and hoist.
