Initial Inspection/Adjustment
The initial magnetic pickup inspect/adjust is recommended at the first oil change interval.Subsequent adjustments should be made at the Every 4000 Hour interval.Inspect/Adjust
1. Remove the magnetic pickup (1) from the flywheel housing. Check the condition of the end of the pickup. Check for signs of wear and contaminants.
Typical magnetic pickup.2. Clean the metal shavings and other debris from the face of the magnet.3. Install and adjust the pickup as described in the Service Manual.
