The charging valve creates a small amount of back pressure in the implement hydraulic system. The back pressure creates resistance as oil flows to the tank. This resistance ensures that oil will flow to the Quick-Drop valve rather than to the tank. The resistance will also prevent cylinders from voiding during rapid lowering by helping the makeup valves function.Required Tools

Move the machine to a flat open area.
Lower all implements to the ground.
Stop the engine.
Turn the key to the ON position, but do not start the engine.
Verify that the implement shutoff control is in the UNLOCKED position.
Move the implement control levers and the transmission control lever through the full range of travel several times. This movement should relieve any pressure that may be present in the implement hydraulic system and the power train system.
Make sure that the pressure in the entire hydraulic system has been released.Reference: For guidance with preparing the machine for testing, refer to the Testing and Adjusting manual or the Troubleshooting manual for your machine.

Install Tool (T1) and Tool (T2) in port (1) on the inlet manifold for the implement control valve. Clearance is limited when you are installing Tool (T1). Ensure that the gauge does not have adapters at the connector.Note: There is a pressure spike when the engine is started. If a small resolution gauge is connected directly to port (1), the pressure spike will damage the gauge.Test Procedure
Start the engine and lower the blade until the lift cylinders are fully extended. The front of the machine will be lifted off the ground. Return the control valve to the HOLD position.
Shut off the engine.
Slowly move the bulldozer control lever to the RAISE position until movement begins. Record the reading on the pressure gauge. The pressure should be 1050 250 kPa (150 35 psi).Adjustment procedure

Shut off the engine. Move all the control levers to relieve the pressure in the system.
Loosen the jam nut and use adjustment screw (2) to adjust the pressure setting of the valve. Turn the screw clockwise to increase the pressure and turn the screw counterclockwise to decrease the pressure.
Repeat the test procedure and the adjustment
