The CID 0588 diagnostic code is associated with the communication between the Power Train ECM and the monitoring system display via the Cat Data Link . The FMI 09 diagnostic code is recorded when the Power Train ECM does not receive expected information from the Advisor ECM for more than 5 seconds.System Response:This failure results in events that are logged against an ECM that cannot be explained directly. The Power Train ECM cannot communicate with this ECM or the ECM appears to communicate intermittently. Test Step 1. VERIFY THE HARDWARE AND THE SOFTWARE PART NUMBERS
