(12)Diesel Engine Crankcase
1. Run engine long enough to warm the oil. Stop engine. Open drain valve and drain oil.2. Remove old filter.3. Clean filter housing base. Be sure all of old gasket is removed.4. Apply a thin film of clean oil to the gasket of the new filter.5. Install filter, tighten until filter gasket just contacts filter base. Tighten filter an additional 1/2turn. Do not over tighten.6. Close drain valve.7. Remove breather. Wash breather in clean solvent.8. Inspect seal, install new seal if necessary. Install breather. Tighten bolt to 10 2 lb. ft. (1,4 0,3 mkg).9. Fill crankcase. See Refill Capacities.10. Start engine and run at low idle to fill filter housing. Check oil level.11. Stop engine and check for leaks.Cartridge Type Filter

Install a new seal if necessary.5. Install new element. Install filter housing drain plug.6. Close drain plug.7. Remove breather. Wash breather in clean solvent.8. Inspect seal. Install new seal if necessary. Install breather. Tighten bolt to 10 2 lb. ft. (1,4 0,3 mkg).9. Fill crankcase. See Refill Capacities.10. Start engine and run at low idle to fill filter housing. Check oil level.11. Stop engine and check for leaks.(13)Transmission, Bevel Gear And Steering Clutch Compartment
1. Remove seat. Remove filter drain plug.2. Remove filter cover and element.3. Inspect seals, install new seals if necessary.4. Install new element. Install cover and drain plug.5. Remove strainer cover, spring and strainer.6. Clean strainer and magnets in clean solvent. Use a clean cloth, pressure air or a stiff fiber brush to remove metal particles.
When using pressure air, wear safety glasses and protective clothing.
Do not drop or rap magnets against hard objects.7. Inspect seal, install a new seal if necessary.8. Install magnets, screen, spring and cover.9. Check oil level. Maintain oil level to the FULL mark on dipstick.(14)Bulldozer Blade Tilt Braces
Lubricate 1 fitting on each brace.(15)Bulldozer Blade Tilt Ball And Socket
Lubricate 1 fitting on each brace.(16)Cable Control Shroud And Brake Lever Bearings
Lubricate 6 fittings.Lubricate 2 fittings on each side of control.(17)Fan Bearing
Lubricate 1 fitting.(18)Fan And Alternator Belts
1. Check condition of belts. Always install a matched set when belts need replacing.2. Check adjustment. Correct adjustment allows 7/8 inch (22 mm) deflection.3. Loosen mounting bolts and move alternator to adjust belts. Tighten bolts.(19)Steering Clutch Brakes
Check adjustment. Adjust brakes when pedal free travel reaches 6 to 61/4 inches (150 to 165 mm).To adjust:1. Block track, release brakes.2. Remove guards and covers.3. Turn adjusting screw in until tight. Back out screw 11/2 turns (9 clicks).Repeat procedure for opposite brake.
