Attach Tooling (A), Tooling (B), and a suitable lifting device to drive shaft (1). The weight of drive shaft (1) is approximately 132 kg (290 lb).

Remove bolts (2). Discard bolts (2). Separate the yokes from the bearing and spider assemblies. Slide the rear bearing and spider assemblies onto the shaft. Remove drive shaft (1). Installation Procedure

Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

Clean the mounting faces of the yoke and bearing and spider assemblies. Install drive shaft (1). Install new bolts (2) in a crisscross pattern. Tighten bolts (1) to a torque of 530 70 N m (390 52 lb ft).
