Install bearing (25) in gear (23). Install retaining ring (24) in the gear by using Tooling (E) .

Install gear (23) and two plates (22) on the housing. Install bolts (21) that hold the components in place.

Use Tooling (D) to install the retaining ring in the groove in the splines of coupling (20) .
Install coupling (20) in the gear. Install retaining ring (19) by using Tooling (C) .

Place a 3.0 mm (0.12 inch) bead of 360 003.0 Sealant on cover (16).
Make sure that the O-ring seals are in position in the transmission case.
Position cover (16) on the transmission by using a hoist and Tooling (A) .

Install tube (18) and bolts (17) to cover (16) .

Install bolts (15) that secure cover (16) .

Install oil screen (14) .

Install three O-ring seals (12) and O-ring seal (13) to carrier housing (4) .

Install four O-ring seals (10) and O-ring seal (11) to carrier housing (3) .

Install O-ring seal (8), O-ring seal (9), and plug (7) in cover (1) .
Apply 366 181.0 Liquid Gasket on the outer bore in the cover for the lip seal. Do not apply the liquid gasket on the seal case. Allow the liquid gasket to dry before you install the seal. Install lip seal (6) in the cover. Apply clean transmission oil on the lip of the seal.

Install the O-ring seal and cover (5) on the transmission cover.
Position the O-ring seals and carrier housing (3) and (4) on the transmission cover. Install the bolts that hold the components.
Install the O-ring seals and cover (1) on the transmission cover. Install the bolts that hold the components.
Install yoke (2) on the splines of the input shaft.End By:
Install the transmission hydraulic control valves. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Transmission Hydraulic Control Valve - Install".
Install the transmission. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Transmission - Install".
