See the article that follows.Description of Change: A new three ring piston is used in the turbocharged 3204 Engines with the 45V serial number prefix that are used in 953 Track-Type Loaders. The new three ring piston will provide additional service before an overhaul in this application.Adaptable To: When used together, and in all four cylinders, the new 7E-4729 Piston Body As (Three Ring), 9Y-6774 Piston Ring (Top), 9Y-6775 Piston Ring (Intermediate), and 7E-7297 Piston Ring Assembly (Oil) are direct replacements for the 2W-4841 Piston. The new piston and rings are in effect with 3204 Turbocharged Engine 45V9921-UP that are used in 953 Track-Type Loaders. Only standard size three ring piston and rings are available.The new piston and rings are adaptable to all turbocharged 3204 Engines. All of the pistons in the engine must be the same. Do not mix two and three-ring pistons in the same engine.
