Note: This is a 39 hour job to inspect the centershift area, install a bottom reinforcement plate, and apply a TIG dressing to the specified welds. Further repairs are allowed per the following allowances and can be applied independent of one another:
-If any cracks are found during the inspection that require replacement of the fishplates, an additional 16 hours will be allowed to install new fishplates.
-If parent material weld repairs are required in the top and/or bottom plates of the front frame, an additional 16 hours will be allowed.
-If weld repairs are required between the centershift plates that necessitate removal of the C-plates an additional 35 hours will be allowed.
The maximum total repair time for this letter should not exceed 106 hours.

Rework Procedure
Note: This rework procedure applies to Group 3 machines. Reference Action Required for the procedure for all Group 1 and Group 2 machines.
All Group 3 machines must be inspected per REHS8792. Perform needed repairs per the special instruction. Ensure any welds that are repaired are TIG dressed per the special instruction. If no repairs are required, extending the existing TIG dressing is all that is required. A bottom reinforcement plate may be added at the discretion of the dealer.
