1. Remove the nut (2) and washer.2. Pull the tie rod (1) and pivot block off the spindle steering arm. 3. Install two 1/2"-13NC forged eyebolts in the forcing screw holes in upper pin (4). 4. Fasten a hoist to the eyebolts, and remove the bolts, nuts, and locks from the pins.5. Remove the pin (3) from tie bar and pin (5) from front axle. Remove the spindle, spindle housing, and wheel lean arm as a unit. Weight of spindle, housing, and arm is 340 lb. (154 kg).Install Spindles, Spindle Housings, And Wheel Lean Arms
1. Install the two 1/2"-13NC forged eyebolts in forcing screw holes in upper pivot pin.2. Fasten a hoist and put the spindle, spindle housing, and wheel lean arm in position on front axle and tie bar.3. Install the upper and lower pins, locks, nuts, and bolts. Remove eyebolts from upper pin. Install the pins with grooves in pins in alignment with openings in wheel lean arm.4. Put the tie rod and pivot block in position on spindle steering arm.
