Message DisplayOperation
The monitoring system displays the machine functions on the LCD display of the Message Display. The Message Display receives information on the CAN data link from the following ECMs
Scraper transmission
Suspension system
Seat
Cushion hitch
Engine
Implement
Transmission
Machine Control

The Message Display will initiate a powerup sequence when the key start switch is placed in the ON position. The powerup sequence will include a functional test of the system. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Self Test" in this manual for a description of this process.Power Down
The monitoring system display will begin the power down sequence when the key start switch is turned OFF.Failure Modes
The following actions will occur for any failures:
For the Hydraulic Oil temperature circuit, If the value is not known the gauge will be set to the maximum value.
For the Engine Coolant temperature circuit, If the value is not known the gauge will be set to the maximum value.
For the Engine Speed circuit, if the actual engine RPM is not known, the gauge will be set to the minimum value.
For the Fuel Level circuit, if the value for fuel level is not known, the gauge will be set to the minimum value.
For the Torque Converter Oil Temp circuit, If the temperature value is not known the gauge will be set to the maximum value.
