C 369-9451 O-Ring Assembly Compound 1 Note: O-ring seals, gaskets, and seals should always be replaced. A used O-ring seal may not have the same sealing properties as a new O-ring seal. A reconditioning procedure should not be degraded because of a low-cost component such as an O-ring seal or a gasket. Use Tooling (C) during the assembly procedure.

Install seal (12) in piston (11).

Install piston (11) on track adjuster (1).
Install O-ring seal (10).

Install valve (6) on track adjuster (1). Tighten valve 6 to a torque of 70 15 N m (52 11 lb ft). Note: Overtightening valve (6) may cause damage to the valve seat.
Install plates (7) and (9) with bolts (8).

Use Tooling (B) in order to install seal (5) in bulkhead (2).

Lower the temperature of bearings (4). Use Tooling (B) in order to install the bearings in bulkhead (2).
Use Tooling (B) to install seal (3).

Install bulkhead (2) onto track adjuster (1).
