Misaligned latchRemove the striker bar from the plate on the right side of the radiator group. The existing slot in the plate for the striker bar is 20 mm (0.79 inch) in length.

(A) 35.3 1.5 mm (1.39 0.06 inch) (B) 11.5 mm (0.45 inch) by 32.0 mm (1.26 inch) slotIncrease the length of the slot to 32 mm (1.26 inch). Refer to Illustration 2. The longer slot will allow more vertical adjustment in order to align the striker bar with the latch.

Reinstall the striker bar into the slot. Adjust the striker bar so that the bar is aligned with the latch. Tighten the striker bar retaining bolt. Refer to Illustration 3.The longer slot for the striker bar is effective with the machines that are listed in Table 1.
