Travel motor (3) Screw
Remove screw (3) from the travel motor.
Assemble 126-3993 Adapter, 9T-4901 Nut, 3J-1907 O-Ring Seal, 6V-3965 Nipple Assembly, and 9T-4901 Nut, as shown. Adjust the two nuts in order to achieve a dimension of 25.2 mm (0.99 inch). Lock the nuts together. Insert the assembly into the opening of screw (3) .
Connect 60000 kPa (8600 psi) pressure gauges to 6V-3965 Nipple Assembly and pressure tap (2) .
Start the engine.
Lower the left console.
Place the engine speed dial to the HIGH IDLE position.
Apply the wheel brakes by using the wheel brake pedal. Release the parking brake.
Increase the travel pressure by slowly depressing the travel pedal.Note: Do not check the pressure in creeper speed.
Check the pressure reading at the port of screw (3) for a change in pressure. Check the pressure reading at pressure tap (2) when the pressure changes at tap (3) .
If the pressure is 25000 to 26000 kPa (3625 to 3770 psi) at pressure tap (2), the pressure at tap (3) should be less than 14000 kPa (2030 psi).
If the pressure at tap (3) is not set to the proper specification, use the following procedure to adjust the pressure.
Loosen the locknut on screw (1). Turn screw (1) until the pressure at tap (3) is at the proper specification. Turn adjustment screw (1) .Note: Always make the final pressure adjustment on the pressure rise.
Tighten the locknut on screw (1) to the specified torque.
