Start By:
Remove the axles. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Axle - Remove and Install".
Remove the ripper shank. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Ripper Shank - Remove and Install".

Disconnect harness assembly (2) (not shown) from lamp assembly (1) .
Remove bolts (3) and lamp assembly (1) .

Disconnect hose assemblies (4) .

Attach a suitable lifting device and Tooling (A) to transmission guard (6) . The weight of transmission guard (6) is approximately 397 kg (875 lb). Remove bolts (5) . Remove transmission guard (6) .

Drain the oil from the transmission and bevel gear into a suitable container for storage or disposal.
Remove bolts (7) . Remove elbow (8) from the transmission. Remove the O-ring seal and the screen assembly from elbow (8) .

Disconnect harness assembly (9) .

Cut cable strap (11) . Reposition harness assemblies (10) and (12) out of the way.

Disconnect hose assemblies (13) . Reposition hose assemblies (13) out of the way.

Note: Position Tooling (B) before Dimension (X) and Dimension (Y) are made.
Adjust bolts (14) on Tooling (B) until Dimension (X) is 203.2 mm (8.00 inch) and Dimension (Y) is 76.2 mm (3.00 inch).

Attach a suitable lifting device and Tooling (B) to the transmission. The weight of the transmission and bevel gears is approximately 1968 Kg (4335 lb).Note: Do not stand behind the transmission and bevel gears when the transmission and bevel gears are separated from the main frame case.Note: Do not remove bolts (16A) .
Remove bolts (16) that hold bevel gear case (15) to the main frame.
Install Tooling (C) in the threaded holes of bevel gear case (15) . Tighten Tooling (C) evenly. Separate bevel gear case (15) from the main frame.
Remove the transmission and bevel gears as an assembly.

Remove O-ring seals (17) and (18) from the bevel gear housing.

Attach a suitable lifting device and Tooling (A) to bevel and transfer gears (19) . The weight of bevel and transfer gears (19) is approximately 946 Kg (2085 lb).
Do not remove bolts (16a) that hold the transmission to the housing.
Install Tooling (D) . Remove bolts (20) . Use Tooling (D) to separate bevel and transfer gears (19) from the transmission.
Remove the O-ring seals from the face of the transmission.
Remove the axles. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Axle - Remove and Install".
Remove the ripper shank. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Ripper Shank - Remove and Install".
