Personal injury can result from hydraulic oil pressure and hot oil.Hydraulic oil pressure can remain in the hydraulic system after the engine has been stopped. Serious injury can be caused if this pressure is not released before any service is done on the hydraulic system.Make sure all of the work tools have been lowered to the ground, and the oil is cool before removing any components or lines. Remove the oil filler cap only when the engine is stopped, and the filler cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand.
Cylinders equipped with lock valves can remain pressurized for very long periods of time, even with the hoses removed.Failure to relieve pressure before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder can result in personal injury or death.Ensure all pressure is relieved before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder.
Park the machine on a hard, level surface. Lower the scraper bowl to the ground and engage the parking brake. Chock the wheels to prevent the machine from moving.
Start the engine. Raise the scraper bowl until the scraper bowl is level. Place suitable jack stands under the scraper bowl. Turn off the engine.

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to cover assembly (2). The weight of cover assembly (2) is approximately 41 kg (90 lb). Remove bolts (1) and cover assembly (2).

Attach a suitable lifting device onto floor cylinder (4). The weight of floor cylinder (4) is approximately 211 kg (465 lb).
Disconnect hose assembly (3) from floor cylinder (4).

Disconnect hose assembly (5) from floor cylinder (4).

Remove bolts (6) and bar (8) from pin assembly (7). Remove pin assembly (7) from floor cylinder (4).

Remove bolt (11) and pin (9). Remove pin (10) from floor cylinder (4).
Use the suitable lifting device to lower the floor cylinder to the ground. Remove the floor cylinder from the machine. The weight of the floor cylinder is approximately 211 kg (465 lb).Installation Procedure
Install floor cylinder (4) in the reverse order of removal.Disassembly and Assembly Information

(2) Lubricate the sealing lip of buffer seal with the lubricant that is being sealed. (3) Lubricate the sealing lip of U cup seal with the lubricant that is being sealed. (4) Apply Tooling (C) to the wiper seal groove prior to assembly. Lubricate the sealing lip of wiper seal with the lubricant that is being sealed.
