1. Remove the bolts and remove baffle assemblies (1) from the control valve. 2. Remove retainer (2) and pin from the link to disconnect dump linkage housing (3) from the control valve spool. 3. Remove a flange and disconnect hydraulic pressure hose (5). Do not remove the other flange and bolts that are used to hold the control valve in place.4. Disconnect hydraulic control hoses (4) and (6) at the rear of the tank. 5. Remove the other flange (7) from the rear of the tank and remove the control valve. The control valve must have a support when the last bolts and flange are removed.6. Remove and inspect the O-ring seals on the control valve group. Make a replacement if the O-ring seals are broken or damaged.Install Hydraulic Control Valve
1. Put clean SAE 10W oil on O-ring seals (1) and install them on the back of the control valve as shown. 2. Put control valve (2) into position on the vehicle and install two lockwashers and bolts (3) to hold the control valve and a flange. 3. Connect hydraulic hoses (5) and (6) to the rear of the tank.4. Install the other flange and connect hydraulic pressure hose (4) to the tank.5. Install the pin and retainer to connect the link and the hydraulic control linkage housing to the control valve spool.6. Put the baffle assemblies into position and install two bolts to hold them to the control valve.end by:a) install brake oil cooler relief valveDisassemble Hydraulic Control Valve
start by:a) remove hydraulic control valve 1. Remove plug (2) from body (1). 2. Remove shims (3) and (4) from the plug.3. Remove spring (5) and rod (6) from the body.4. Remove valve (7) from the body. 5. Remove two bolts (9) and (10) and remove valve (8) and the body. 6. Remove valve seat (14) with an O-ring seal from the body. Remove the O-ring seal and make a replacement if it is worn or damaged.7. Remove valve seat (13) with an O-ring seal from the valve group. Remove the O-ring seal from the seat and make a replacement if it is worn or damaged.8. Remove valve (12) and spring (11) from the valve group. Spring (11) is in valve (12) when it is removed from the valve group. 9. Remove four plug assemblies (15) from housing (16). 10. Remove bolt (18) and lockwasher. Remove cam (17) from the housing.
Cam (17) must be removed before housing (16) is removed.
11. Remove valve spool (19) from the control valve.
There is spring force behind housing (16).
12. Remove two bolts (20). Remove housing (16). 13. Remove retainer (23), spacer (22), spring (21) and retainer (24). 14. Remove flange (25).
There is spring force behind plug (26).
15. Use a 1/4"-20 NC forged eyebolt to remove plug (26). 16. Remove O-ring seal (30) from the plug. Inspect it. Make a replacement if it is worn or damaged.17. Remove spring (27) and valve (29) from the valve body.18. Inspect insert (28). Remove if worn or damaged.
