(1) The center of the O-ring plug must be drilled and tapped for M12 x 1.75 threads

Remove bolts (1). Remove cover (2).

Install Tooling (C) in place of the two oil level sight glasses located in the highest position.
Thread Tooling (B) through Tooling (C) to secure the planetary assembly. Tooling (B) should be threaded in until the bolt touches, then tightened an additional 3/4 turn.

Remove ring (3). Remove gear (4).Note: Retaining ring (3) is not reusable. Discard retaining ring (3).

Attach Tooling (A) in order to remove axle (5). The weight of the Tooling (A) and axle (5) is approximately 268 kg (590 lb).

Reposition the lifting device and continue to remove axle (5).
