Rework Procedure
An alternate procedure and tooling is available for the rework. The procedure allows the pump to slide back instead of being fully removed. Refer Special Instruction, REHS8215, or follow the procedure below for full pump removal.
1.) Remove the High Pressure Fuel Pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, KENR6052, "Fuel Pump (High Pressure) - Remove and Install" for the correct removal procedure.
2.) Install the screen into the high pressure fuel pump adapter.
3.) Install the High Pressure Fuel Pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, KENR6052, "Fuel Pump (High Pressure) - Remove and Install" for the correct installation procedure.
Note: Reference Service Magazine, SEPD1326, "New Fuel Injector Lines Groups are Used for C175 Off- Highway Truck Engines" for information pertaining to Fuel Lines Group, and the correct bolts to be used for each configuration.
