A     185-3630     Strap Wrench     1    Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the removal procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.Note: Put identification marks on all hose assemblies and on all wire harnesses for installation purposes. Plug all hose assemblies. This helps to prevent fluid loss and this helps to prevent contaminants from entering the system.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Turn the fuel supply (1) to the OFF position.

Disconnect harness assembly (2) .
Disconnect tube assembly (6) and disconnect hose assembly (5) .
Use Tooling (A) in order to remove filters (7) .
Remove bolts (3) and remove filter base (4) .Installation Procedure

Position filter base (4) and install bolts (3) .
Use Tooling (A) in order to install filters (7) .
Connect tube assembly (6) and connect hose assembly (5) .
Connect harness assembly (2) .

Turn the fuel supply (1) to the ON position.
