Release the pressure from the parking brake system. Refer to "Pressure Test".

Unscrew protective cover (3) and remove seal (4) from gas valve (5) .

Disconnect hose (9) from valve (8) at point (13) . Ensure that the valve is closed.

Ensure that purge valve (16) is closed. Install adapter (17) on the accumulator. Ensure that gas valve key (18) engages the accumulator gas valve. Fully tighten the adapter.
Use a half inch ratchet wrench in order to turn gas valve key drive (15) . Turn the gas valve key drive counterclockwise in order to open gas valve (5) on the accumulator.
Pressure in the accumulator will be displayed on pressure gauges (6) and (7) . The required precharge pressure is 9600 170 kPa (1400 25 psi) at 21 °C (70 °F). If the pressure is correct then turn gas valve key drive (15) clockwise to close gas valve (5) . Open valve (8) in order to release the pressure from the Tooling. Proceed to Step 13.
If the pressure is above the required precharge pressure then the pressure must be decreased.
Slowly open valve (8) in order to reduce the pressure in the accumulator to the required precharge pressure. Close the valve when the required pressure is reached.
Turn gas valve key drive (15) clockwise to close gas valve (5) . Open valve (8) in order to release the pressure from the Tooling.
If the pressure is below the required precharge pressure then the pressure must be increased.
Reconnect hose (9) to valve (8) at point (13) .
Attach regulator (12) to a nitrogen cylinder. Ensure that the adjustment screw for the regulator is completely backed out in order to close the regulator.
Turn gas valve key drive (15) clockwise to close gas valve (5) .
Open the shutoff valve on the nitrogen cylinder. The pressure in the nitrogen cylinder will be displayed on gauge (11) .
Open the adjustment screw on regulator (12) until gauge for the regulated pressure (10) reads about 200 kPa (30 psi). Open valve (8) and open purge valve (16) for a few seconds in order to purge air from the lines. Close purge valve (16) and then close valve (8) .
Use a half inch ratchet wrench in order to turn gas valve key drive (15) . Turn the gas valve key drive counterclockwise in order to open gas valve (5) on the accumulator.
Open the adjustment screw on regulator (12) until the regulated pressure reads 300 kPa (45 psi) above the required precharge pressure.
Open valve (8) . Wait for two minutes in order to stabilize the temperature of the gas in
